Over lunch we were talking about box set binges – my parents aren’t used to watching these things and after they started to watch ‘The Killing’ one afternoon they ended up going to bed about 4:30am in the morning, which is very very unlike them. There is a problem here in terms of being able to detach oneself and turn them off between episodes – we could consider this an error in motivation or intended plans. My parents certainly did not intended to have such a late night and I have done similar myself. My strategy for helping with this is to stop watching an episode half way through. The end of episodes are the natural point to turn off but these are always far too juicy and keep you hooked, half way through an episode there is generally a lull and it’s easier to switch off. #rsdiary #boxsets
